Women's Soccer: Eagles End Home Schedule vs. Bob Jones

TCJ Women's Soccer played its final home game of 2025 against the South Region's Bob Jones University Bruins on Saturday, and put up a strong defensive showing. Despite that defensive effort, however, Bob Jones scored twice early and once late to earn the win 3-0. The Bruins also played stingy defense to keep Trinity off the board.

The Eagles came out of halftime very strong, firing off four shots in the first 10 minutes. However, the shots did not connect, and BJU goalkeeper Caroline Roland saved 1 and got help from a few teammates, who blocked a few of those shots with their bodies. Roland played the second half after Kali Jackson patrolled the net in the first.

Trinity totaled 8 shots with 6 of them coming in the second half. Senior Lucy Rife, who played her final home game, led the team with 3 shots while Taylor McCrory, Ayla Buckley, Aubree Settle, Kira Goodwin, and Camila Lopez all took aim.

Rife leads the team in goals scored and is tied for 10th NCCAA Division 2 with 6 as of the end of Saturday's game.

The TCJ defense held Bob Jones to 12 total shots with Aubree Settle, Shayla Mendonca, and Alyssa Lechuga leading the effort. Only 3 of those shots came in the second half, and 1 was on a penalty kick.

Bob Jones scored twice in the first 4 minutes (Francesca Aurednik, Amelia Peters) and once on the PK in Minute 86 (Elli Cummings).

The Eagles will finish the regular season on the road at a pair of NCAA Division 3 opponents. The first is at Johnson and Wales University NC in Charlotte, North Carolina, at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, October 27. The season finale is at Anges Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29.

The South Region Tournament will occur at Toccoa Falls College in North Georgia on November 6 and 8.
