Women's Soccer: Grace, Holds NAIA Warner to 2 Goals

Katianna Grace saved 14 of 16 shots on goal faced to fend off a a team that totaled 27 shots overall as TCJ Eagles Women's Soccer battled a tough NAIA opponent in Warner University on Tuesday. Warner, though, scored once early and once very late to win the hard-fought match 2-0. The Eagles also got a team save as Warner kept pressure on Grace and the Trinity defense for the entire 90 minutes. 

Grace saved 7 in each half, and the team save came in the first half. Warner's defense, though, was very stingy, holding the Eagles to only two total shots, both in the second half.

The Eagles had several opportunities, but Warner's defense hussled back each time to make things very difficult for Trinity attackers. Taylor McCrory and Lucy Rife each fired shots for the Eagles.

Warner's goals came from Morgan Sullivan in Minute 11 and Elisabet Rosario in Minute 90. 

The Eagles will visit Pasco-Hernando State College on Friday, September 19. After a three-week break, the team will play two South Region games on the road: at Toccoa Falls College on October 9 and at Bob Jones University on October 11. The next home game is against NCAA Division 3 Weslyan University at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13. Four games remain afterward to clise out the regular season.
