Bio

Coach Lewis joined the Eagles coaching staff in 2017 as an assistant to head coach Judy Allen. Her responsibilities include instructing players, recruiting, scheduling, and providing mentorship for the women's basketball program. While assisting Coach Allen, Coach Lewis helped the women’s program exceed in competitive excellence by winning two Bible College WNIT Championships (2019, 2021) and obtaining two rings that Coach Lewis will forever cherish.

Coach Lewis is a proud native of Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School as Valedictorian in 2012 with the opportunity to continue her basketball career at Southern University at New Orleans. She earned Freshman of the Year honors in 2012-2013 then continued her basketball career at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics with a concentration in computer analysis and a minor in computer information systems.

After graduating, Lewis went back to school to obtain her second bachelor of science degree, this one in business administration (2019). She is currently taking courses toward her master of science degree in software engineering online through the University of West Florida.

Lewis is married to her husband of seven years, Coach Jarred Lewis, who has also assisted the TBC women’s basketball program for the last five years. Jared is also Trinity Christian Academy’s varsity girls head coach. The couple has a blended family of three children: Tatyana Taylor, Jarred Lewis, Jr., and Jamir Lewis.
 
Benjamin Franklin once said, “Tell me, and I forget. Teach me, and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” Coach Lewis believes that women athletics offer women athletes the opportunity to learn life lessons through fundamentals and skill work.

Coach Lewis offered her thoughts on coaching at Trinity Baptist College. “As we tackle each season,” she says, “we will rely on solid team defense, athleticism, and strong leadership through captains and coaches. I have been playing basketball since I was six years old, and I have always dreamed of mentoring young women into becoming the ‘best’ version of themselves. Coaching basketball for the Eagles creates this mentorship, For I, too, am a walking testimony.”
