Women’s Basketball: Eagles Take on Paine College
Kirsten Joseph hit double digits for the 8th time in 10 games, and Caroline Smith did so for the 10th time this season as TBC Eagles Women's Basketball faced the NCCAA Division 1 Paine College Lions on Saturday. Paine, though, had a big first quarter and built on that lead to win 80-57.
Jospeh had a three-pointer for one of her 7 shots made and added a pair of foul shots to lead the Eagles with 17 points, second overall in the game. She also assisted 4 other scores.
Smith hit 5 of 6 foul shots and added four deuces for 13 total points. She also pulled in 8 rebounds and picked off 2 balls from the Lions.
Victoria Broadway's 10 rebounds was second in the game, and she also scored 8 points as did Ranajala Brown. Laila Harvey scored 7, and Alessandra Henriquez contributed 4.
Adia Dormu had a double-double for the Lions: 21 points and 11 rebounds. Three of her teammates each scored 15 to help lead the team.
The Eagles have two regular-season games remaining, both on the road at South Region opponents. First, TBC visits Southeastern Baptist College at 6:00 p.m. EST on Friday, February 21. The season finale is at #1 Pensacola Christian College at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22. The Eagles will then prepare for the South Region Tournament.
