Bio

Before joining TBC, Blackmer built a distinguished career at North Marion High School, where he served as head coach for the women’s soccer and softball programs and as an assistant football coach under FSU standout Greg Carr. During his tenure, Blackmer’s softball teams captured district championships, regional quarterfinal titles, and multiple district runner-up finishes. Over 12 years, he was named FACA Coach of the Year five times and was honored as the 2012 Dairy Farmers Class 5A Coach of the Year. His travel ball teams also achieved state championships and runner-up finishes in various associations.

Beyond his accolades, Blackmer has been instrumental in advancing players to the next level of their softball careers and guiding them in their spiritual journeys. “Appreciate every moment, but most importantly, grow alongside God and one another,” he says, citing Philippians 1:6 (NLT): “I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished.”

Blackmer, who is married to his wife Amber and has two daughters, Danielle and Justine, also brings coaching experience from St. Johns River State College and several competitive softball programs, including Colts Stampede, FCA Elite, and North Florida Elite.

"My goal," says Coach Blackmer, "is for Trinity Baptist College to be one of the best places to play in the nation, and for all our student-athletes on our women’s softball team to be inspired to pursue excellence in the classroom, on the field, and in their Faith journey.”
