Softball: Catcher Janely Ayala Signs with the Eagles

Versatility is vital in college sports, and the ability to play multiple positins earns one playing time and offers numerous ways to contribute to the team effort. Janely Ayala plays three positions and excels at each. She comes from a team that was 19-2 in 2026. 
 

Janely Ayala -- Avon Park, FL

Janely is graduating from Avon Park High School, where she played two years as a varsity Red Devil under head coach Heather Barnes and assistant coaches Jesse Macias and Eric Acevedo. Janely is the duaghter of Mr. and Mrs. David and Maritza Ayala.
 
Janely has won her team's GRIT award for work and performance. She plays cathcer, third base, and outfield and works to improve her skills at all three positions.  
As a senior, Janely batted .261 with 2 doubles and 8 RBI and had an on-base percentage of .413 with 4 stolen bases.
 
Janely maintains her strength as a weightlifter. Academically, she is an A-honor roll student. 
 
When asked why she chose Trinity College of Jacksonville, Janely cited the Spiritual environment in which she wanted to attend college. "I chose Trinity because of their faith-centered environment," she said. "I look forward to being around other young adults my age who also share their love for the Lord."
 
After college, Janely plans to become a elementary school teacher who specializes in kids with special needs. Her favorite Bible verse/life verse? Jeremiah 29:11, which says, "For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
