Softball: Two-Way Player McKenna Tucker Joins the Eagles

Pitching and offense lead to wins, and coach Rob Blackmer has found one who can do both. Two-way player McKenna Tucker has performed well as both a hitter and a pitcher, and she will bring depth to an Eagles roster ready to break loose in the 2026-27 season.

McKenna Tucker -- Jacksonville, FL

McKenna will soon graduate from Mandarin High School, where she played for three years as a varsity Mustang under head coach Natalia Gonzalez. McKenna is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott and Eileen Tucker.

As a hitter, McKenna is hitting well over .300 this season by making consistant solid contact. She moves runners, hits for extra bases, and drives in runs.

In the circle, McKenna has an ERA of 3.43 and averages nearly a strikeout per inning in 14 appearances.

In addition to Mandarin, McKenna has played travel ball for the North Florida Rage. She has earned Mandarin's Sportsmanship Player of the Week honors.

When asked why she chose Trinity College of Jacksonville, she cited the oppotunity to grow Spiritually. "I chose TCJ in hopes to deepen my relationship with Christ by surrounding myself with peers who have the same goal," she said.

After college, she plans to pursue a career in aeronautical engineering. Her life verse is John 13:34, which says, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."

The Eagles welcome McKenna Tucker to the Trinity family.
