Softball: Eagles Add Local Talent, Depth in Alexandria Fay

Even before the current season ends, TCJ Eagles Softball coach Rob Blackmer has already begun to build for next season. With most of his team poised to return, Coach Blackmer had added depth in all positions. Local student athlete Alexandira Fay plays many positions and has committed to bring her versatility to Trinity and enhance the Eagles in the field and at the plate.

Alexandria Fay, Jacksonville, FL

Alex played softball at Orange Park High School in Orange Park, where she played for two years as a starting varsity Raider under head coach Lee Taylor. Alex is the daughter of Ms. Melissa Pritchard.

Alex also played 6 years of travel ball with the Outlaws and two years of rec ball for Argyle Athletic Association.

Academically, Alex finished her high school credits early and began taking college classes during her senior year.

When asked why she chose Trinity College of Jacksonville, Alex described the warm, friendly atmosphere she experienced upon her visits. "I chose Trinity because I enjoy how welcoming the whole campus feels. Everyone is so nice and makes me really look forward to coming here," she said.

Alex looks forward to earning her degree in a Christian environment. "I also love that it is a Christian college because I can grow my faith while going to school, and I can be surrounded by people who also want to get closer to God. Trinity's campus is so beautiful and has a very welcoming environment."

After college, Alex plans to become an elementary school teacher because she enjoys spending time teaching children. Her life verse is Psalm 100:5, which says,  "For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness endures through all generations." "This verse reminds me that God has always loved me, and he always will," she proclaimed. "God's love lasts forever."

Alex has personally experienced God's love and healing after suffering a potentially serious condition when younger. She underwent spinal fusion surgery in 2024 and is blessed to have had such a great recovery. "I made a full recovery and returned to softball just 5 months afterwards."

The Eagles proudly welcome Alexandria Fay into the TCJ community.
