Men's Soccer: Eagles Battle Hard at D-2 Embry Riddle

Noah Amesbury continued to add to his goal total by adding one against NCAA Division 2 Embry Riddle Aeronautical University on Wednesday. TCJ Eagles Men's Soccer played a tough game against the D-2 opponent, but Embry Riddle won 4-1. 

Amesbury scored in Minute 21 when he received a lofty pass from Richard Bernardo de Lima (assist) from the middle of the field. Amesbury controlled the pass and fired from the top of the penalty box into the top left corner of the net. The goal is #8 on the season for the junior forward.

Trinity Goalkeeper Christian David saved 3 of 7 shots on goal faced giving himself 72 saves on the season, which is 9th in NCCAA Division 2. Trinity's defense held ERAU to 14 total shots, but one was a successful penalty kick from Gabriel Mentrup. Embry Riddle also received goals from Elliot Mills, Kaden Stoddard, and Ethan Rosenblum. Trinity had two shots from Aaron Uribe (1 on goal) and 1 each from Jesus Karim Cadet, Emilio Garcia, and Jasson Soriano.

The Eagles have completed their stretch of seven straight road games. Next, they will host NAIA Florida National University on October 14 then prepare for the South Region's Toccoa Falls College on Homecoming Saturday, October 18. The season will then conclude at South Region rival Pensacola Christian College and NAIA Middle Georgia State University on October 25 and 31, respectively.
