Men’s Basketball: Eagles Close 2024 with Two D-2’s at Florida Tech Classic
TBC Eagles Men's Basketball finished the first semester of play with a two-day trip to Orlando for the Florida Tech Classic on Friday and Saturday, December 20 and 21. The Eagles played a pair of NCAA Division 2 opponents in Florida Institute of Technology on Friday and Lynn University on Saturday. Although the team did not win either game, many players added points to their season totals in the team's final tune-ups of 2024.
DJ Thompson led the Eagles in total points with 21, scoring 8 on Friday vs. FIT and leading the Eagles with 13 against Lynn on Saturday. Thompson was 6 for 12 (50%) from the field and hit all 9 free throws.

Thompson also totaled 7 rebounds, third behind only Brandon Hill and Gavin Korth-Loder, who each pulled in 9.
Hill totaled 16 points for the Eagles on 42% shooting, and Jacquez Anderson had 15. Xavier Rose followed with 14 while Ethan Bray finished the two games with 12 (three threes) and Diego Fernandez scored 10.
The Eagles also got point contributions from Jace Spinelli (8, two threes), Korth-Loder (6), Ian Kanady (5), Josh Bledsoe (5), Adrian Walker (5), Ja'Maryus Pringle (3), Shadrack Kakora (3), Davion Fitzgerald (2), Jack Peeler (2), and Kenny Berry (2).
After the Christmas break, the season will resume on Thursday, January 9, for three days at the Welch College invitational in Gallatin, Tennessee. The Eagles will play all NCCAA teams, including Welch College on January 9, #2 Campbellsville-University Harrodsburg on January 10, and Boyce College on January 11.
South Region play then begins when Trinity Baptist hosts #9 Pensacola Christian College on Tuesday, January 14.
