Men’s Basketball: Eagles Open with Exciting Game vs. New College of Florida
Four Eagles topped 10 points in the official season opener and four more also scored points as TBC Eagles Men's Basketball took on the Banyans of NAIA New College of Florida on Saturday. A strong run spanning the two halves gave TBC the lead, but the Banyans came back to win 76-62.

Trinity then stormed out of the locker room and scored the second half's first 10 points on two layups from Brandon Hill and two three-pointers from Hill and Diego Fernandez.
New College then scored the next 15 points to regain the lead and expanded that lead to put up the final score, outscoring the Eagles 36-21 in the second half on 50% shooting.
Fernandez led the Eagles and was tied for second overall with 14 points, including a pair of three-pointers. Ian Kanady scored 13, Hill totaled 11, and Rose finished with 10 to reach double digits.
Jacquez Anderson contributed 5 points in the effort while DJ Thompson and Gavin Korth-Loder each added three and Jace Spinelli had 2.
Overall, TBC shot 51% from the field, hit 5 three-pointers, and sank 7 of 9 free throw attempts.
New College's Jack Scott led the way with 15 points. Teammates Jordan Clark and Diego Eslava each hit 14, and Charlie Yoder had 12 to help lead the Banyans.
