Men’s Basketball: Twelve Eagles Score Points at NAIA Coastal Georgia
The Eagles spread the scoring around, and twelve men put the ball through the hoop in TBC Eagles Men's Basketball's visit to NAIA College of Coastal Georgia. The teams fought a tight battle most of the way, but Coastal Georgia had a strong run at the end of each half and won the game 95-69.
Xavier Rose and Jacquez Anderson reached double figures in scoring, combing to shoot 50% from the field. Rose was 6 for 10, including a three-pointer, and added a free throw to lead the Eagles with 14 points. Anderson was 4 for 10, including three three-pointers, to finish with 11.
After Coastal Georgia scored first, Rose hit his three-pointer to put TBC up 3-2. The teams traded baskets and leads for the next several minutes until Brandon Hill's three-point play and Jace Spinelli's three-pointer gave the Eagles a 16-11 lead. CCGA, however, came right back and pulled ahead with a 14-0 run.
Trinity fought back to a three-point deficit at 36-33 on Anderson's three pointer with 3:58 left in the half. Coastal Georgia then finished the half strong and led 47-33 at the break. The teams played to similar scores in the second half.
