Baseball: Brigman Wins Fourth Pitcher of the Week Honor

It is an honor that most players do not get even once, let alone four times in half a season.

This week, TBC Eagles Baseball's Jacob Brigman won his fourth NCCAA Division 2 Pitcher of the Week award after tossing a complete-game two-hit shutout against an NAIA scholarship opponent. Brigman and the Eagles defeated Northwestern University of Iowa 5-0 in Game 2 of a double-header to close out the Russ-Matt Invitational.

In his performance, Brigman pitched all 7 innings, allowing just 2 singles while walking 3 and striking out 7.

The honor is the fourth of the season for Brigman, who also earned the honor in the campaign's first three weeks after notching wins over Florida National University, Paine College, and Bob Jones University. In those wins, Brigman totaled 18 innings, 4 runs, 1 earned run, 9 hits, 8 walks, and 22 strikeouts.

Overall through March 8, Brigman is 5-2 with a 1.88 ERA in 43 innings pitched against mainly NAIA and NCCAA scholarship teams.

Congratulations to Jacob Brigman, four-time NCCAA Division 2 Pitcher of the Week and one of the many reasons why the Eagles have had such a terrific first half of the 2025 season.
