Baseball: Brigman, LaChapelle Named Players of the Week
For the second time in as many weeks, TBC Eagles Baseball has two players named NCCAA Student Athletes of the Week. After sweeping the two categories in the season's first weekend, the Eagles again earned both Pitcher of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week, and one man repeats his season-opening honor.
Pitcher of the Week: Jacob Brigman
For the second straight time, Brigman earns the honor. In his start against Paine College in Game 2 of the January 31 double-header, Brigman pitched a complete-game shutout in which he allowed only 1 hit. He also walked only 3 men and struck out 8. Only the lack of sunlight could stop him as darkness caused the game to end after 6 innings. The shutout was Brigman's second win of the season in as many starts, and it completed a team sweep of the double-header.

Offensive Player of the Week: Tyson LaChapelle
In the two games on Friday, Lachapelle combined for a 4-for-4 performance at the plate with 3 RBI, including 3 hits and 1 RBI in Trinity's Game 1 comeback and 1 hit and 2 RBI in the Game 2 shutout. He also scored a run in each game.
LaChappelle is 5 for 7 overall in the Eagles' first five games, in which the Eagles are 4-1.

Congratulations to Jacob and Tyson on their great individual performances and to the Eagles on their hot start to the season.
