2026 Softball South Region Christian Service Project Has Tremendous Impact
Trinity College of Jacksonville hosted a phenomenal 2026 South Region Softball Tournament. All games themselves were fantastic with Columbia International University, then the NCCAA's #1 team, winning the title game on a walk-off home run in extra innings.
Much more important than the games, however, is the annual Christian Service Project in which all tournament coaches, players, and officials participate. This year, as the host school, Trinity chose to bless our partner ministry, the Women's and Children's shelter at the Trinity Rescue Mission, a subsidiary of Trinity Baptist Church. Trinity hosted a diaper drive to benefit needy mothers and their children in the city of Jacksonville. Participants donated diapers and money to fulfill the mission of serving and blessing needy mothers and their children in the Jacksonville community.
The 2026 South Region Softball participants and head coaches are as follows:
- Baptist University of Florida, Joan Albury
- Columbia International University, Sara Allen
- Paine College, Emannuel Martinez
- Trinity College of Jacksonville, Rob Blackmer
- University of Fort Lauderdale, Kyle Davis
Trinity athletic director and D2 South Region coordinator John D. Jones traveled to the Rescue Mission along with Judy allen, assistant A.D. and Senior Women's Leader. The duo met with one of the TRM managers, SirIsaac Singleton, who received the donated items on behalf of the shelter.
The diapers helped many mothers and children, and all recpients heard the Gospel as part of TBC's mission of helping everyday people discover an extraordinary life with God.
Trinity Baptist Church and the NCCAA thank all supporters, donors, and participants who helped make this Chritian Service Project a tremendous success.
